From BSO: The Baltimore Symphony Orchestra (BSO) and Broadway star Ann Hampton Callaway present "Diva to Diva: From Ella to Adele" January 25-28 at the Joseph Meyerhoff Symphony Hall in Baltimore and The Music Center at Strathmore in North Bethesda, MD.
Under the direction of Principal Pops Conductor Jack Everly, the BSO and Callaway perform popular hits from Carly Simon, Carole King, Etta James, Ella Fitzgerald and more. Selections will include "You've Got A Friend," "Over the Rainbow," "Someone Like You" and other staples of the Broadway and Popular repertoire.
Callaway is a multi-Platinum selling vocalist known best for her Tony® -nominated performance in the Broadway musical Swing! and for writing and singing the theme song to the hit TV series The Nanny. She was recently voted Performer of the Year by Broadwayworld.com and has written songs with Carole King, Rolf Lovland and Barbara Carroll, among others.
