Since the owners of Cafe at Adele's put the restaurant up for sale in February, they say they haven't received any offers they're ready to take. They say they are going to be picky about who they sell the property to. That's exactly what diners like Michele Stull want to hear, since the beloved restaurant means so much to the community.

"It's an institution," says Stull. "You come here and it's an event. You enjoy the food, you enjoy the meal, you enjoy the company and it's just a wonderful place."

After 40 years, owners Charlie and Karen Abowd have decided it's time to sell the property and retire.

"I have missed a lot of what my children's life has been like, now we've got grandchildren and I've missed a lot of that and I've finally said I'm not going to do this anymore," says Charlie Abowd, who is in the kitchen six days a week.

This isn't just any restaurant in Carson City. It's a fine dining destination for people throughout the state. It's also a place that fills up with lawmakers every legislative session, where countless handshakes have taken place.

"If these walls could talk," laughs Karen Abowd.

Her husband agrees.

"What happens in Las Vegas stays in Las Vegas, well actually, what happens at Adele's stays at Adele's," says Charlie Abowd.

The restaurant has an emotional attachment for generations of families.

"It's amazing," says Karen Abowd. "All the proposals, the first dates, all that sort of thing."

While the Abowds are selling the property and the fixtures, they're not selling the name, which means once the restaurant is sold and closed, that's it for Adele's in Carson City.

The Abowds say the decision to sell has weighed heavily on them. They understand what an important role the restaurant has played in people's lives and what a connection it has been for the community and the state. They say they're going to miss all of the people they've worked with throughout the years. They want the community to know how grateful they are for being a part of their lives.

The restaurant has been getting a lot of calls from customers asking when the place will shut down. The Abowds want to reassure people that, not only have they not accepted any offers yet, a sale of this sort will likely take time.

BOARDMAN - Adele Mary Iacobucci Reeves, 95, passed away peacefully, Jan. 8, 2018, at St. Elizabeth Boardman Health Center, with her daughter, Julia, at her side.

Mrs. Reeves was born Feb. 1, 1922, in Norton, W.Va., to Sofia (Presutti) and Erminio Iacobucci, the eldest of nine children. She came to the Youngstown area as a small child.

Adele had an independent spirit her whole life. She was an avid reader and a life-long learner. Her first language was Italian, but she quickly learned the English language while attending city schools.

She graduated from South High School and later attended Penn-Ohio Business School and took courses at Youngstown State University. From an early age, she learned to sew by making her brother’s shirts, as well as most of her own clothes. She had a sharp eye for detail and became an accomplished dress maker and tailor.

After graduation, Adele studied pattern making and tailoring in Cleveland. She and her sister, Irma, served the World War II war effort as aircraft inspectors at Wright Patterson AFB in Dayton during the war years.

Adele worked various jobs over the years in payroll and accounting and also served as the executive secretary to two graduate deans at YSU. She retired from an insurance adjusting firm in the 1980s.

She is survived by her daughter, Julia Ann Murphy of Boardman; son Craig “Carl” R. (Beverly) Reeves of Golden, Colo.; sister Florence; brothers Emidio, Eugene, and Orlando Iacobucci; as well as grandchildren, Daniel, David, Cheryl, Aaron, Kristin, and Elizabeth; step-grandchildren, Greg and Betsy; great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; and nieces, nephews, and many cousins.

"Adele selalu berusaha mencari cara terbaik.

Fear of developing “Vegas Throat,” the health malady causing many Las Vegas Strip performers over the years to cancel or postpone scheduled appearances may be an issue for pop superstar Adele who is now unsure about taking on a Las Vegas residency because of the dry desert climate.

The British hit-making songstress was reportedly ready to agree to a $500,000-a-show, 12-month deal to perform at The Wynn but she's hesitating about signing on because of concerns about the Nevada desert conditions could cause her vocal problems, according to UK media reports.

The 29-year-old singer, who cancelled her final two concerts at London's Wembley Stadium last year because of damage to her vocal chords, is additionally worried about how the residency would affect her five-year-old son Angelo.

Entertainment media reports have indicated that The Wynn was seeking to make Adele Las Vegas' highest-paid resident with an offer that included VIP meet-and-greet packages, where fans can pay up to $25,000 a ticket to come face-to-face with the singer as well as seeing them perform.

“Vegas Throat” symptoms include dryness, scratchiness and sometimes a complete loss of voice. Previously, U2 singer Bono vowed he would never perform in Las Vegas again claiming the dry climate inflicted extreme havoc on his throat. The late country music legend George Jones said dry throat prevented him from hitting high notes in Las Vegas.

Out of all of the weird corners of the internet, one I have found myself hopelessly engulfed in is conspiracy theories.

Over the last few years, conspiracy theories have gained popularity. Youtubers like Shane Dawson make videos about them. He has more than 12 million subscribers on Youtube and his conspiracy videos are some of his most popular. That is where I got started with them.

The community of internet conspiracy theorists look into many different topics and ideas. Some of my favorites include the idea that the moon landing was faked, the idea that the Titanic never really sank and the idea that Hitler did not actually die in 1945. Some others are a little more outlandish and include ideas like Mattress Firm being a money laundering business and Justin Bieber secretly being a giant shape shifting lizard.

I think that the more outlandish ones are pretty entertaining and fun to look into. For example, the most recent one I have found myself obsessed with is the idea that Sam Smith and Adele are the same person.

Now: before you dismiss this as ridiculous, hear me out. While I do not have a solid stance on this theory yet, there is some suspicious evidence.

The most provoking evidence is this video that lowers the pitch of an Adele song and then raises the pitch of a Sam Smith song. When the voice in the Adele song is lowered, it sounds just like Sam Smith. Then, when the pitch of the Sam Smith song is raised, it sounds just like Adele.

While this could just be coincidental and they could just have very similar voices, it is definitely suspicious and a little too convenient.

The next piece of possible evidence is something I actually created myself. I took a photo of Sam Smith and Adele and put one on top of the other. I adjusted the transparency of the top photo so that it would be possible to see the similarities between their faces.

Once the transparency was adjusted, the similarities were eerie. Once again, this seems a little too convenient but it could still just be a coincidence.

Finally, upon scouring the internet for evidence: I have found no photos of Sam Smith and Adele in the same place at the same time.

Having no photographic evidence that they have been at the same place at the same time is compelling. Think about the similarities between the two: they are both British, they both have awards and they both have the same style of music.

It only seems logical that they would have been at the same award show together at some point or at least been in the same place at the same time at least once.

While the evidence could merely be coincidence, it is all very suspicious. I do not believe one way or the other but I cannot deny the evidence.

While this is a fairly new theory, being only about a month old, it has picked up steam pretty quick. One Clevver News video about it has more than 200,000 views in the short month that this has been a prevalent theory. The video that I previously mentioned where they adjusted the tone of their voices also has almost 400,000 views.

It is interesting how just a little bit of evidence that could be purely coincidental could turn into a full blown theory. A lot of them are definitely reaching a bit. Ultimately though, they are harmless and usually pretty fun.

Adele’s picturesque former country home in West Sussex is now on the market, but the next owner will probably be someone just like the Grammy-winning singer—at least in terms of fame and funds.

Adele rented the Partridge Green estate, known as Lock House, for two years starting in 2012, and the state of total privacy is likely what drew her to the nearly 85-acre property.

“It suits someone famous or well-renowned,” Strutt & Parker broker James Mackenzie, who is listing the £7.25 million property, told Observer. “It’s off the beaten track, and it’s not in an area people would imagine. You go down a bumpy old lane to get to a very, very private drive, and then the house is set back behind trees, around the corner. The privacy is brilliant, which I’m sure was probably Adele’s main requirement when she was looking.”

The home had its own 15 minutes of fame when Adele took Anderson Cooper on a tour of the property on 60 Minutes in 2012. During the segment, the singer took the journalist through the mostly empty home, baked cupcakes and showed off her bedroom.

Originally built as a “proper old money U.K. home” around 1900, the structure was later turned into a convent, Mackenzie said. The present owner transformed the estate back into a residential home, and completely renovated the property, shortly before leasing it to Adele.

The main house features a reception hall, drawing room and formal dining room, with an “enormous” breakfast room. It’s composed of a total of 13 bedrooms, six of which are en-suite. The property has plenty of accommodations for the help, as there’s a three-bedroom “staff flat” as well as a guest cottage.

This celeb-friendly property also includes an outdoor swimming pool, tennis court and a pavilion, in addition to a full “leisure complex” with an indoor swimming pool and gym—though the indoor pool might get more use, considering the fickle English weather.

Lock House is located about 45 miles from south London, but there’s a rather speedy way to reach the home—a helicopter hangar is on the property, so someone could “fly in and out, and use the home whenever they want,” Mackenzie explained. Indeed, from the inquiries Mackenzie has received thus far, it seems the buyer could easily be someone able to summon a private helicopter on a whim.

“It’ll be most attractive to someone who cares about that kind of privacy,” Mackenzie opined. “The interest we’ve already had tends to be from celebrities looking for complete and utter privacy.”

The Voice Blind Auditions Social Media Reactions

The four-time Emmy Award-winning “The Voice” returns with the strongest vocalists from across the country invited to compete in the blockbuster vocal competition show’s new season. Superstar singer-songwriter Clarkson makes her debut as a coach this season, with Season 12-winning coach and musical icon Keys taking a red chair alongside the show’s returning coaches, Levine and Shelton, and host Carson Daly.

The show’s innovative format features five stages of competition: the first begins with the blind auditions, then the battle rounds, knockouts, playoffs and, finally, the live performance shows.
During the blind auditions, the decisions from the musician coaches are based solely on voice and not on looks. The coaches hear the artists perform, but they don’t get to see them – thanks to rotating chairs.

If a coach is impressed by the artist’s voice, he or she pushes a button to select the artist for his or her team. At this point, the coach’s chair will swivel so that he or she can face the artist he or she has selected. If more than one coach pushes his or her button, the power then shifts to the artists to choose which coach they want to work with. If no coach pushes a button, the artist is eliminated from the competition.
