Adele fans may find it hard to get accommodation if they do not act quickly.

Extra tickets to see Adele live in Auckland next March sold out in 10 minutes on Tuesday morning.

According to concert promoters, an additional 15,000 tickets to see Adele perform at Mt Smart Stadium, went on sale to the general public at 9am on Tuesday and sold out in a staggering 10 minutes.

The tickets were spread out across the Grammy-winner's three scheduled shows, with 5,000 extra seats allocated for each of the Thursday, March 23, Saturday, March 25 and Sunday, March 26 concerts.

In order to accommodate for the overwhelming demand to see the Brit singer live, promoters said a temporary stand will be built on Mt Smart's north bank.

However even the lucky ones won't be able to get their hands on tickets until February, in a bid to keep reselling to a minimum.

"Ticket printing for the Adele tour is suppressed until a month out of from each specific concert," promoters confirmed.

In November, a spokesperson for Trade Me confirmed that the resale website had already removed "approximately 40 Adele ticket listings" merely days after the tickets went on sale.

According to the resale website's rules and regulations, Trade Me sellers are only permitted to list items physically in their possession, at the time of listing.

"As with anything on Trade Me, there were a range of price points that sellers were opting for," said Trade Me's communications advisor, Logan Mudge.

"Some looked to be above the face value of the ticket, some were $1 reserve to let the market decide and others the seller said were exactly what they paid for the ticket."

While Trade Me have pulled the resale listings, for now, Mudge confirmed that Adele tickets listed for "genuine reasons" will not be removed from the site come February.

Promoters confirmed that VIP Packages to all three shows are still available for purchase.
