Some of music’s biggest stars sent personal messages to honor Beyoncé’s publicist Yvette Noel-Schure as she was awarded the Caribbean Luminary Award at the American Foundation for the University of the West Indies gala at the Pierre Hotel.
John Legend said, “Everyone who knows her knows that she spreads light and love in everything she does.”
Jussie Smollett added, “She spreads joy. She’s a joyful warrior whenever I’m feeling low. Whenever I’m feeling stressed . . . anxious, all I have to do is call Yvette.”
Adele explained how Noel-Schure lured her in as a client, saying, “She and Benny Tarantini were sent over from New York to London to try to woo me . . . Yvette just dropped in that she’d been the publicist for Destiny’s Child for practically my whole life and it was a sealed deal.”
Maxwell surprised the “proud Grenadian woman” by presenting her with the award.
“Yvette got a standing ovation. Everyone had their napkins, wiping away tears after she read an open letter to her mother, who passed away,” a source said.
