Hillary Clinton is such a devoted Adele fan that she closely tracked the singer’s concert tour around the country, and was fully mindful that the singer was performing in Miami when the Democrat just happened to schedule campaign-related events.

Clinton surprised her traveling press Tuesday night when she veered to Adele’s sold-out show in Miami, Florida, making a beeline for the concert and drawing little attention from the crowd.

But now, it can be revealed that it was more than an accident that Clinton was in South Florida when Adele came to town with her must-see tour.

‘She loved Adele. That was a birthday thing,’ Clinton communications director Jennifer Palmieri told a small group of reporters traveling with the candidate as she barnstorms Florida.

‘She has been tracking Adele’s tour very closely. Anything I know about Adele, I know from Hillary Clinton,’ Palmieri quipped.

‘So I learned that she’s going to be in Miami on the 26th. I learned that she was going to be in Arizona at some point in November. I also learned that she was going to be in Houston November 9th. I learned that Adele was thinking of taking 10 years off so it was very important Hillary that Hillary see this tour,’ Palmieri continued as she rattled through the hit Brit singer's tour dates.

‘Hillary is the one who figured out it’s October 26th – Adele’s in Miami. She had a great time just as a fan,’ Palmieri said.

Pressed on whether Clinton planned her trip specifically around the Adele show, Palmieri disagreed.

‘This was a happy circumstance,’ she said.

The arena concert comes as Clinton get repeatedly saluted for reaching 69 years on Wednesday. But the concert wasn’t a gift from her husband, President Bill Clinton – although it appears that the people actually picking up the tab are those contributing to Clinton’s presidential campaign, which has banked nearly $500,000.

Asked by DailyMail.com who paid for the show, Palmieri, who accompanied her boss, said: ‘It was a gift to herself. It was really fun.’

Pressed further by a reporter, she said: ‘I have to get back to you, I believe the campaign did. It was not a gift from Adele or things like that. It was like relatively normal,’ she added.

If it wasn’t quite a campaign event, the singer did lend a hand to Clinton’s effort, which has been successful enough that her campaign is warning against complacency among voters. She urged people not to vote for Trump, though she didn’t mention him by name.

The crowd was mostly oblivious. ‘I think maybe there were 50 people who understood that Hillary Clinton was in that arena,’ Palmieri said. Some ultimately took selfies.

‘She waved and they took selfies. She had a great time.’

The Democratic presidential nominee made a surprise stop at the American Airlines Arena on Tuesday night, arriving at the venue by motorcade.

Clinton spokesman Nick Merrill told reporters that the British singer said that while she can't vote in the US she is '100 percent for Hillary Clinton.'

'I love her,' Adele added to the audience on stage. 'She's amazing.'

Indeed, the 'Hello' star told the crowd that even though she is from across the Pond, 'what happens in America affects me too', and in an apparent reference to GOP nominee Donald Trump, she added: 'Don't vote for him.'

In the past, Adele has told Trump to stop using her music at his political rallies after he played her hits Rolling in the Deep and Skyfall, the singer’s James Bond theme.

'Adele has not given permission for her music to be used for any political campaigning,' her spokesman said.

Trump, who appears to be an Adele fan, also annoyed many of her fans when he skipped the queue at a concert she gave at the Radio City Music Hall in New York last year.

Adele does not often wade into politics directly, but hit the headlines in 2011 with her comments about the amount of taxes she had to pay in the UK.

Speaking to Q magazine, the singer said, 'I'm mortified to have to pay 50 per cent! [While] I use the NHS, I can't use public transport any more.

'Trains are always late, most state schools are s***, and I've gotta give you, like, four million quid – are you having a laugh? When I got my tax bill in from [the album] 19, I was ready to go and buy a gun and randomly open fire.'

According to reports, Hillary Clinton's final campaign fundraiser will be a lavish birthday party in New York, while her daughter Chelsea will spend today campaigning for her mom in Ohio.
